Going to try my luck at making my own enclosure without split compartments. Decided to buy the most flexible stuff you recommended in an effort to better my chances.

good luck. I think your best bet would be an enclosure that looks like this \ _ _ _ / rather than | _ _ _ |
my thoughts are that the more vertical the walls are, the more they will act as stiffeners
