@Janux-esk8 Holy crap, the magical Electric Flywheel pulley actually exists…

Now I have to rethink my plans. If only it was metal though…not sure if I can use not-metal even if for that

@Itsmedant, what is this? Is it supposed to slide on some rails?

@DerelictRobot already built one. I’m doing something else!

I’m going to be making a thread as I go I think.

It takes a lot of 3D printing along the way so I’m knocking all of that out first and the. Will be taking a bunch of pictures and doing a write up

Do you guys want to see a thread once it’s done? Or one tracking my progress through the build?

I still have all the electronics to buy so it’s not going to be done super soon, but I can start tracking it in a thread as I go if you want that

I struggle to understand how that tread can be any good on urethane

Hopefully they don’t suck. Their last 110’s were ass.

I’m skeptical, why start adding foam into wheels when you can simply use good thane… inventing fixes that are simply not needed lol

EDIT: I bet the foam is cheaper than quality thane

Last few seconds on the vid, they run almost flat, so they must be mega squishy.

even still. tread is for tyres. not wheels.

@PatRocks in case you have a metr module or something, can you check how your duty cycle looks like? I got up to 108% which can´t be, so there need to be a fault somehow, somewhere. Just interested if it´s only with mine or happen to others as well.

had an easy ride yesterday 30km with average 24km/h round about. max temp was at 32 degree celsius

I don’t understand it either. I rode MBS wheels and those horrible enertion crossover wheels. My friend who owned a set ended up shaving them down. AT urethane wheels seem pointless. Now those harfang cut wheels are different .

Was thinking exactly the same thing. The Harfang wheels are a different kettle of fish, they definitely seem worthwhile if you like riding in the rain

Looks like a range-killer
