@topcloud will probably know everything.
Alot of nice deals on offerup right now
Revel’s website reports the motors to be 1100W. I wonder how that compares to the ones we already have i.e. elofty. If they are similar then it’s a crazy deal for finished product.
Motors: 1100W Dual Brushless Motors
If you ever rode the old landwheel hubs then these should be a damn good motor. The motors on that drive were the best thing about them. Even with all the niggly little hacks you had to do to keep the drives reliable the esc/remote and power kept you coming back for more. Very smooth, very nice throttle curve and the speed was great. Battery was a huge let down though especially for heavy riders. My son loved it but he weighs as much as one of my legs.
Very interesting to see how the new version compares using direct drive.
Full agreement, sir.
Nice to have a comment condoned and not a behave yourself you idiot message.
Note to self;
Must try harder
If you are an idiot, I don’t want to know what that makes me. You see, I strive to be the #1 dipshit around these parts, and I feel I am achingly close to my goal.
On the first deck one of the rkp truck is reversed?
Yes but it doesn’t matter because they are set at 0 degrees.
DEL. SORRY for a reply
Nice, try it on uneven surfaces, that really twist the deck, I think that is what killed mine on dirt roads
So far so good! I have probably 2km on them tho lol. I’ll be doing some testing on them real soon. They seem to run ice cold so far
Real potential here. Looks like a blast. I see comically large padded suites and full face helmets and a jousting tournament. This has been mentioned before, but oh what fun!
I had my friends put on swim-vests for protection, and large sweaters over top to protect the vests. It was actually a bit boring as a viewer, because most of the time they would be too far off to get a good hit or they just wouldn’t knock off one another. But those on the boards said they had a blast so that’s nice
Might upload footage of the joust later in the week; this was part of a whole day of challenges and competitions, so I have a lot of footage go through
One of the PETG wheel hub finally broke at 300km mark. I am not sure how it broke and when. I noticed it when I felt the rear side wobble. Looked back and the tire was doing that. Stopped to find that the flange had cracked. I continued riding at slow speed back home. Maybe I’ll just print that one side in alloy 910(nylon).
If it ain’t broke dont fix it
Looks good to me
@skunk is there a reason you have the extra spacer bearings or whatever they are called on the outsideof the wheel rather than inside. Are you trying to narrow your width a bit ornis it purely aesthetics?
Yeah I try to run things as narrow as possible on kicktail decks.
I need to buy shorter shoulder bolts.
Im still getting this one put together so it’s what i got.
