Why?
So I can take the motor off the gear housing without too much disassembly. I usually loctite my pulleys to the shaft. But with that D shape you loose like a third of the contact area. So I made this instead. At first, I wanted to loctite the adapter to the shaft. But I think I just settled on the grub screw.
Edit: ohh, and all available standard mod2 gear with 13 teeth has a 10mm bore, and the motor i wanted was 8mm shaft. So I kinda had to use an adapter/sleeve. I may have gotten carried away with the solution
