Unrelated question: but do you work in a well ventilated area?

Yeah, I have good ventilation around the entire basement and an extractor that goes over soldering work venting to the outside. Some people… don’t care to :joy:

If you were thinking I got my retardation from soldering… well, yes, I did. A decade ago I wasn’t big at fume extraction… ran a fan… but I did a fuarkload of soldering work back then. Vice was taken away from the soldering table to do this motor stuff.

I’v been trying to figure out where to set up my soldering station.

Not sure how I would set up fume extraction indoors so I might just go outside with a fan for now.

What if a loopkey had a ā€œbench versionā€ with USB-C and had a ā€œrideā€ version with an embedded crypto USB dongle that functioned similar to a car key? Using the Amass AS-120 connector

So if some dingbat stole your board, they better be able to manufacture a new loop key with USB and know how to use the VESC firmware tools, otherwise it won’t run.

lol they would just sell it…
whomever buys a $2k board for $400 will figure it out … lol

Yeah, true that.

I guess until then, this is still good

no way would I pay their stupid asking MSRP unless I actually travel with a board. I see them often for $350-$500, not too bad at that point
