@sugandese are you running dem Newbee hubs? If so how did you mount the gears to them, seems like I have them mounted similar to yours.

I used 4x35mm set screws with nyloc nuts and 4x6x10mm stainless unthreaded spacers. Same way Moe mounts brps to his hubs. Although he just uses serrated nuts. I didn’t like the idea of using bolts and the potential of ruining the threads in the hub.

Do you have links/pictures for the hardware? I’m not familiar with how Moe mount his BRP wheel.

The way I mount my wheel is one long bolt through everything and a lock nut on the gear.

Ah you don’t have the newbees? They have separate hardware for the outer lip for the tube/tire and the gear. I just got it all from Ali express

Well I ordered a set of the Newbee hubs and those same tires that you have. Just tryna see how to run them. Is the Newbee one still use M4 bolts and lock nut to hold the hubs together or do they only use M4 bolt through threaded holes?

Edit: Saw Kami Juins video and it looks like it’s threaded all the way through?

It’s not threaded all the way through

I want to see the inside :star_struck::fire:

I don’t have a ton of photos of this particular setup, but here are a couple that should give you a decent idea. With those brackets taking up so much space, everything has to stay pretty tidy. I was actually really happy with how dialed-in it was back when my girlfriend was still running her 10s4p pack.

Unfortunately that battery eventually died so she stole my first battery build, which was a similar size but added a smart BMS. That’s when things got a lot uglier inside — so yeah… not many pics after that

@jack.luis are those truck wheelbase extenders custom and/or available somewhere? I could use something like that for running those same snowblower tires and later other biguns w/ the kart adapter

Custom.

You’re far from the first person to ask. Maybe I should list these on my site

Yeah, +1 then to be interested if you put them up sometime - would be doing the same, extending a Trampa deck.

@jack.luis that tall monster truck build looks insane - having trouble picturing how turning works on something like that ha

That’s Big Tonka, build thread coming soon. She actually turns pretty well with the bushings adjusted properly

Nice! That’ll be a cool build thread - yeah I haven’t ridden a suspension board like that at all, hopefully sometime.

@CarelessAquarist What tires are those, and what happened? Just normal riding, and they split?

First off I think it is no fault of the tires. They are the CST 8x3-4 slicks purchased from Trampa.

I like having smart reverse quite high so I can go backwards reasonably, and when I brake hard it locks then spins backwards fast if I’m not careful (2wd).

I am not 100% sure what cut it but I was on this crazy jagged gravel set in concrete surface, the smart reverse braking thing happened all while I didn’t manage to avoid a whole smashed beer bottle in the dark.

I’m proud of you.

And it looks cool.

@jack.luis if I’m understanding correctly that’s an adapter to extend out those wheels wider when they’re on the kart adapter? Def would be cool to have that in a big wheel accessory kit with the wheelbase extenders

Kind of. These are to allow for bearings to be installed into these steel hubs. The offset is just so I don’t have to have crazy long custom axles. The bearing to bearing distance is the same as MBS wheels; 22.2 mm

Ah I think I see - so could those wheels run on the kart adapters without that piece, just not as stable?
