Good eye! I tried to draw a dick on the other side but it didnā€™t turn out so wellā€¦

These look sweet. Looks like they will bolt directly onto the Boardnamics gear drives, bypassing the adapter altogether?

Just to give context to the size, the holes are for m8 screws, bn adapter uses m4 screws. These are actual gokart rims and huge  5" diameter 5" width roughly

Iā€™ll get some custom adapters made to fit onto @Ac53nā€™s BRP hub design that has an MBS mounting pattern. From there, they can be attached to BN gears using the normal way using the adapter and nubs, or possibly to stooge open gears as well using the MBS pattern. Not 100% sure yet but I am considering switching to stooge open gears

This is hilarious. Glad I donā€™t fit into any of those ā€¦ cough cough anymore

I like the versatility of open gears.

You can run from your past, but youā€™ll always be Peter Griffin to us

They offer more versatility, but I prefer the sound of BN straight cut gears  Plus to be able to hot swap wheels Iā€™d need multiple sets of gears which gets pretty expensive at 4wd. But I just decided itā€™s indeed time to switch.

Getting the ratio right on 10x3.6" or 10x4" gokart tires ainā€™t gonna be easy. And Iā€™ll go down to 240mm hangers in order to have a narrower setup when running normal tires, and a stronger setup for the gokart stuff. Will probably still look ridiculously wide with the gokart wheels :joy:

I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what youā€™re talking about :joy:

If you use the wheel adapters by Linn(?), and also properly with a slight offset, then it isnā€™t as bad. But I just bit the bullet and bought lots of wheel gears for hot swapping.

You should consider chain :wink::joy:

I also need to support 4.5 ratio for 6" which isnā€™t possible on chain. And around 8:1 for 10", not sure if this is possible or not.

And I need to be able to hot swap wheel sets, which is too much trouble on chain.

Plus I prefer the sound of gears  especially BN drives sound so nice

And it would mean longer motor mounts which means bigger board overall, and itā€™s already huge

I think chain is best for lightweight offroad setups

Not possible :frowning: You are right.

But swap wheels with chain is easy when You have motor pinions from me:)

Damn. That must have been a good one to get such a reaction! :joy: What did you get?

3.3million scovilles. Sis gets me something spicy every Xmas, she pulled out the stops this year

The reaction is my own fault. I read out the blurb on the back and laughed that it said to ā€˜keep out of reach of idiotsā€™ before proceeding to pour it into my mouth out of the bottle :joy:
