How difficult is it to lengthen that shaft to make it power both wheels?

I would assume it feels like a locked diff then too, so it must be made more for speed than turning?

You got my brain on a firecracker with this build holy cow

No it’s fine. The hanger turns and your turn radius is wide enough to not notice any slipping.
Modifying a motor is not that hard if you have some motor and machining experience. It takes about an hour. Basically you just have to slide the shaft out the back side. But to do so, you have to completely disassemble the motor first just to get an idea on how the manufacturer put it together. machine a hole on the rear cap, maybe modify the shaft, And reassemble it.
After I built this board. It only took Stooge three months to copy my motor setup. So it really can’t be that difficult. :joy:

I might have to try my hand at that, it doesn’t sound all too hard

It looks so much fun to race, And also top out

Have you ridden it much? Looks like it needs some frit

Really depends on the motor. You’ll have to pull the motor apart first to see how it’s put together. The very first one I made… I think it was 14 years ago. I just used a hammer to pound the shaft through the back side. Wasn’t pretty, but it worked. The new motors that are sensored, you have to remove the sensor first or you will destroy it. And sometimes the shaft is keyed. So you have to be careful. Manufactures tend to make little changes over the years. Even though the motors look the same on the outside.

On another motor, I had to disassemble the squirrel cage and machine the shaft for the bearing to slide enough for the shaft to stick out the back.

On my recent motors I used a mill and a lathe to machine them.

Yes we delivered the first production speedboard last week and there other boards 9 are currently being tested and finalizing all the details with our shipping partner’s.

@JaysTCB did you weld this frame?

Was just wiping the dust off of it. And going to add a new wedge footstop.

Originally it was SRB #11.
I modified the frame to add w-concave. Then I made new upper and lower pans.
Then I continued with a bunch of other improvements. I let my imagination go a little wild.
