@frame That issue can be solved with precision machine work. It’s a non issue if machined well. (By no means am I trying to criticize the infinity hub project. That design by nature can work.)
There are certainly ways to solve the issue, but solving it while keeping cost and complexity to a minimum is hard.

the groundwork has already been laid to just do it. it’s up to manufacturers of drivetrain adapters and pulleys to accommodate it.
I realize not everyone can get InfinityHubs but it’s a great example of what can be done.

They’re not though, I’ve had a board run over by a Toyota Corolla and then backed over since the board was stuck in the wheel well and I’m still running the same axles 3 years down the line. I prefer 10mm axles where feasible but to say 8mm axles are dog shit is a stretch.
