I think customs and airline would consider battery permanently attached as long as opening it is not user friendly (aka require tools). in that case, I would take a dildo any day.

Is that the bms ?
If so, I don’t think it’s a good idea, if anything bad happens to it, i would be a pain to redo everything in comparison of just plugging the jst and soldering 2 wires

You can just remove the cells easy compared to a normal battery. Only the pcb is not so mutch more expensive then one bms. The expensive part is all cell holders and cells and those can you keep.

Would be possible with a small seperate piece, like Jonny used on his thingiverse concave model. But would be a hassle to let it connect with the overhanging part I think. Maybe on a future iteration, would definitely look cleaner
