So the bearings both go in the same side of the rim? The other side act as a cap for the tire and bearings?

So the new rim is widder than a five star and will be offset to accomodate 9" tires on the at gear drives?
Yes they’re wiiide and very offset. The inner flange is nearly inline with the inside bearing.

Do you feel stopping the width at 50mm instead of 65mm is better on the bearings ?
50+ seemed too wide. There becomes problems when stretching 8" tires past that width. 50mm will fit nearly every tire we use without being excessive.
