i need to know what it is
I’m the lucky recipient.
Yea what Bill said

Hahahahabaha I find this equally as amusing.
That one is snot. I have all the others though too

You can repair if you want to.
On the other hand we need to make sure that the devices were not opened up before a warranty claim. People managed to take out the heat pad, blew things up via short and then claimed warranty…
People always gotta ruin it don’t they
omg
But doesn’t this sticker imply the warranty would be voided if I do so?
These stickers actually violate federal law in the United States, so I was surprised to see the inclusion.
I understand the challenges of users dealing with hardware outside of their skill level, but all the same this feels a bit regressive. Not that you asked for my 2c but there it is. Cheers!
You look like you are wearing some kind of big hat
I see it now. I’d rock a big turquoise witch hat. Hell yeah.
It’s modifications that are an issue for a manufacturer. Changed gate resistors, soldering different cables to the PCB, using the PCB inside a different housing etc. Once the device was opened it is hard for us to tell. If I open up a device and modify it, I would not expect a valid warranty. And if you are within warranty time, you don’t need to repair it yourself either. Also there is no need to open it unless you want to modify it. The only reason to open the unit is either modification or repair. Typically customers get back to us when things went south and if we can figure out what the damage is and what caused the damage, we can sort out the issue regardless of the sticker. The number of VESC 6 that fail is very minimal. These units are very robust.
You also got the fact that they only ‘recently’ started putting those stickers on
Had to open my vesc twice to resolder cables, if i send it to your place you would do the same, if i repair it myself i’m able to ride again after a few minutes.
