An emergency parts compartment sounds like a really good thing to have on an esk8.

I have a little zipper pouch which holds my āroad kitā that contains all the hand tool I need for basic esk8 maintenance (including spare belt and spare tube). That, my first aid kit, and my hand pump go in my backpack before every ride.
Its not the most convenient, but every single thing has come in handy at one point or another. On my new build I might put this stuff in my top box if I have room lol.

I use an Evolve remote zipper pouch for the same thing. Holds a couple belts, one of each size I use, a tiny screwdriver, this skate tool, a used bearing, hemostats, and a few other things.

Skate tools are great, but only if you havenāt made the logical move to metric hardware 
(Plus I cant stand non-ratchting tools haha)

Yeah they are motors that are being produced and tested by the LandSurf crew as a premium upgrade to the stock Lacroix motors. I dont know a ton about them other than that.

California itās ārequired by lawā but not heavily enforced.

I didnāt knew that at all, i think in most of europe and asia you need them both front and back
And like not having them is not an option at all, like probably worst than driving without patent
