Yeppers. Altar wedge on the Rayne Demonseed 42.
Monster of a deck. Probably my favorite.

Which one? Are you wondering about the enclosure getting beat up?

I’m more wondering what the roads you are planning on riding are like.

Two questions:
Does the coating go under the enclosure at all? What does that look like.
How did you do that cut?

Oh. The roads around here in my Midwestern college town are mostly really good.

The only board I actually take off road is the actual mountain board.

So all of these urethane set ups I cruise on nice paved roads and sidewalks.

A couple of the set ups get scrapes because they are so low there are times the enclosure actually scrapes…

The evolve board scrapes when I do a really hard turn…

And the Rayne Crush scrapes if I do any bouncing…

That stuff goes everywhere… I love it but you gotta put masking tape anywhere you don’t want it.

And the cut on the back of the deck I did with a Dremel and a palm sander…

Close up it really looks like crap…

So now you have to fill all those holes for your battery sake ?

 :joy: No, those holes are going to be filled with independent digital screens, voltmeter, speedometer, battery meter, etc. Well, at least that’s the idea. Perhaps I may change for a different concept later. The battery enclosure, also made of aluminum, will hang from the deck like combat aircraft wing stores. Metal to the pedal!!

ambitious and epic, I will be watching in fascination and envy.

Glad you like it Mike (and @Plurf) means a lot to me guys. I’m not so sure where I’m going to end with this project. But certainly is been a fascinating ride. Just the truck system alone will be made of 11 or 12 different components from diverse Esk8 and Sk8 manufacturers; some from the shelves some totally custom like the new @IDEA mounts for @Boardnamics 220 (first set ever adapted for that hanger). This build is becoming a total aluminum soup :metal:

If you need help modeling inserts for the voltmeter, etc let me know. Happy to help.

Oh! great Mike! Yes, I was thinking on dipping the meters in transparent resin with the shape of every deck opening; but someone else suggested epoxy (think it was @b264). So I’m still deciding what course of action to take? I’m open to suggestions. @surfnacho will probably do the alum enclosure. Not so sure which method yet. But this are 'rona times and I already reached bottom $$ and I have to dramatically slow down expending to a crawl. Titanic jumping rats got more coins in their pockets than me :grimacing::roll_eyes:.
