Are you going to be testing 140kV as well? Any specific reason you stayed with 190kV?

is not having a support bearing a concern on these larger motors?

The longer the stator and the higher the revs, the bigger the concern.

One year ago I bought an MBP15 top of the range with discrete graphics for AU $250, and a month ago a brand new MBP13 mid tier with upped memory for AU $1500 (half price).

Both were bought when I left my then current company, at asset write-off prices. Not powerhouses by desktop standards, but pretty flash setups by laptop standards.

Yes, but support bearings also take up a lot of space in the can and contribute to heat issues.

Well ya getting them at that price lmao

I bought my XPS15 (basically maxed out) for 2k from a costco deal, it’s way better than my sister’s mbp15 in pretty much every stat except that it doesn’t have a unibody metal chassis

The XPS15 2020 edition is incredible though, can’t wait to have one of those once this laptop dies lol - who am I kidding I probably won’t buy a new laptop for like 5 years at least

Now that I’ve graduated I literally only use it to play movies in my room on my theatre setup

One thing I like about Macs is they age well, say what you want about paper specs, they do well because they’re built to a closed ecosystem.

This is why ios is faster than android in a simple sense

I used to just break laptops all the time. the unibody for me makes the thing have 4x the lifespan. such a good feature.
