You could go all DIY hack like me with foam and heatshrink or get nice fancy ones here
Why what bro?
Iām confused by this one too - cant the lock just slide in between the two motors allowing the entire board to be taken? Iām assuming there is something out of view here.
Also, I do see the security āstarā pattern - but can the trucks be taken off normally? (Iād be fearful of bolt cutters too)
Ever since discovering lockpickinglawyer I just feel so unsecure lol. Is this the same lock? [458] Kryptonite "Lockdown" Bicycle Cable Lock Picked - YouTube
Though admittedly I just have general levels of anxiety that canāt be rationalized when it comes to being out of eye sight of my board in public.
No No no no nooooooooo
This is why I wear my visor even at dusk
Heck yeah!! Congrats! Pic of where the wires enter the can pls!!
What is the point of that security torx screw? Doesnāt it just make things marginally less convenient?
Youāre not getting it out without the safety bit. Most people wouldnāt carry one or know where to get it.
I donāt think heās looking for Fort Knox, just trying to not be convenient.
Security SUCKS, itās pretty rare to see someone have a set of security Torx bits in their go bag
Will do, just driving
Can confirm. I work on building sites every day and even the tradies never have security torx bits
@abusfullofnuns Iām aware of what a security screws are, Iām just not convinced it would significantly decrease the odds of the thing being jacked. I think youāre right in saying heās not trying to go all out on security, so maybe Iām just missing the point. I was just thinking that if someone was actually determined to steal that thing, I doubt that screw would make an ounce of difference.
I tend to agree. Itās kind of cool, but itās much easier to just cut the cord on that lock instead of messing with the screw.
yea, i mean thereās a lot of options really, you could just take off the back trucks, hacksaw that crossbar thing, or like you said, disarm the lock somehow.
I guess if it provides piece of mind, thatās all thatās important though.
