Replacement for Xiaoxang smart bms app

Years ago the free Xiaoxang bms app showed every battery cell drainage and much more info than todays version. Do you have any app to suggest for replacement? Im on Android but could be nice to tell if you have a iOS app to suggest too.

I believe some people use Overkill Solar app as well

Yep, as mentioned up there ^^ overkill solar.

I have both installed

Unfortunatly, Overkill solar was scanning forever and never found my battery.

did you have the other app connected to it still?

yes the xiaoxang app connects to the smart bms. i see battery temps but the app on android now does not give much info on the actual voltage and voltage for every cells

I meant if one app is connected to the BMS it won’t show up in BLE for the other. so sometimes you have to force quit the first app.

Thank you for your reply! Nice info, this might be the problem but I think I uninstalled xiaoxang before trying Solar overkill. Is there any other Android app that I could try?

Finaly got Xiaoxang BMS working on another phone and telling voltage for every p group! Thanks all for your replies.

Get “SmartBMS utility” from Play Store to replace Xiaoxiang, the best app although it’s paid.

Does it have current calibration like the apple app?

Tried xiaoxiang and overkill solar and i keep running into the same issue. Where the battery % and Ah dont change no matter what the voltage is. Heres my BMS battery % settings and p group voltages. Anyone had this issue before?

Did you press “Write BMS” after making any changes?

The percentage is borked in general afaik. It’s usually correct the first time after recalculating but later stays at a certain point.

Overall Ah or Ah left?

If you bypass the BMS for discharge you will never get that to work correctly.

Yeah i wrote it. I read from BMS for these screenshots.
The “15.1ah of 15.43ah” never changes no matter how much i discharge.

Oh well doesnt everyone do that? Does no one have their bms app working correctly?

Yeah everyone bypasses, it’s not possible to get it working properly sadly
