Is it any out here that knows how to repair battery packs. Here in florida it rained and my board was in the parking garage . Water manage to trickled down into the board and im assuming flatlined the first to cell groups.
Remove the battery immediately and dry everything off. I’m praying for your VESC and motors.
Vesc and motors are fine i been swapping drive trai. Between my pathfinder build and my zeus bamboo pro diy . Everything’s unplugged right now sitting at home
This is not repairable my friend. There’s no repairing a water damaged pack.
the first cells are permanently damaged, you can still manage to charge them individually and balance the pack but as soon as you draw some load out of it the first cells will drop a lot
Yeah i usually let it for a day when i get caught in the rain.
To be more clear.
Get that damaged battery out of your house immediately.
Go take it to Lowe’s or a Battery Plus.
It’s not something you can fix without taking apart the whole pack.
That is really hard to do and it is usually not worth it.
Current state your damaged battery could be a fire hazard.
So get rid of it.
First step would be opening it up, drying it out and getting lots of photos and measuring voltage of each group individually.
It could just be a bms fault.
The condition of the battery is still an assumption. The BMS could be faulty.
Until stripping the pack out, inspecting, and checking the voltages manually it’s a bit like Schrodinger’s cat.
I would be doing it carefully, outside, and on concrete.
The bms reading was going up and down all over the place. Then temp sensor one was going in and out . Also it would kill all reading if i disabled that very exact sensor
I don’t quite understand what you’re saying but if there’s gonna be any chance of salvaging that battery you really wanna get in there, dry it out and inspect it asap.
I have temp sensor error on my bms and when i disable that sensor that has an error all voltage readings for each cell disappears is what I’m saying
I think by the sounds of it there is a good chance it could just be your bms that is damaged.
Yeah dont know if i mentioned it but normaly when i feel for sure water made its way through the top a bit i dont plug her up untill the next night. When i did not follow my own ruke of them i plugged her in the charge kicked off . So im thinking it is that. I do have another bms on hand.
There is a language barrier here, and all sorts of miscommunication.
IF YOU HAVE THE SKILLS, you need to open this up and check to see how much water is inside and what got wet.
This board’S battery could be dangerous.
A water damaged bms can easily kill a battery. The sooner you get it opened up and bms disconnected, the better
All the more reason to investigate before just binning it and making it somebody else’s problem
Alright guys i just got done probing all balance pins and all cell groups are sitting at 3.9
Thats great news. Any signs of water damage to the pack?
Got photos?
No damage that i can see. I peeled back the fish paper to look at the joints on the bottom side of the pcb nothing looks unusual.
