The seller said the temp sensor wires had to be plugged in for the bms to work. I’m not going to use them and they annoy me being there and wondering if I took out the plug and shorted the two and two pins what would happen?
Is this a jbd bms? If so, you can just go into the app (overkill solar or xiaoxang) and disable the temp sensors (NTC checkboxes) / edit any charge discharge temp settings as needed
You’d be bridging a thermistor. They’re probably NTC so you’d basically make the BMS think it’s hot as fuck

shorting them would tell the BMS thats its max value, leaving them open min value… So no, don’t do that.

The seller says if u turn off the temp sensor in the app the bms won’t work for discharge. I haven’t tried it yet but I’ll only use the bms for charging so hopefully possible
