I was thinking of doing exactly this the other day but IDFK how to make a wiki.
it definitely needs sections for UART remotes, PWM remotes and remotes that can do both, and have a chart for different remote features (relay, flashlight, telemetry, reverse)
Hoyt Puck is the most popular remote for DIY.

Wasn’t there like a remote that looks like a ring that you can put on your finger?
that’s the Ring remote by JayKay and it’s proprietary to their hub trucks.
