congrats!
when this topic started… my hopes were low. ( ) it’s a plesent surpise.
Mine too, but it turned out to be a very well behaved board. I would put people on this board before I’d put them on any of my contraptions.
But I think mostly that’s because the throw on the remote is really long. The Hoyt Puck is maybe 40 degrees of rotation where this one is more like 60. I prefer the 40, but I appreciate that this one isn’t going to launch unexpectedly.
And the battery is so good in spite of it’s unknown past.
The only weird thing is that when I first got it and was dorking around it seemed like the brakes would unexpectedly let go for no reason, but my test ride was up and back down a surprisingly steep gravel road and it never let go there. So I trust it more now. I haven’t spent a lot of time trying to reproduce it, but maybe it’s the difference between slowly applying brakes and slamming them on. I think maybe a really hard brake scenario kicks a flag in the driver or something.
These brakes are way more aggressive than I like mine to be. It will lock up the tires. But since the throw is so long it’s a bit more manageable.
