Build Showcase: Raspberry Riot ![]()

Alright folks, it’s time to officially introduce my latest build: Raspberry Riot.
This one came together equal parts necessity, inspiration, and questionable self-control around doughnuts.
The Namesake
Raspberry Riot gets her name for two very important reasons:
- She’s unapologetically pink
- She was built while absolutely housing Mighty-O’s Raspberry Riot doughnuts during the PNW Esk8 Build Day – 2025 Holiday Build
Sugar-fueled creativity is real.
Conception & Design Philosophy
This build was born out of destruction.
I had just snapped the deck on Chocolate Dad Bod (now reborn as Purple Unicorn
). While ordering a replacement Dadbod Duo deck, I discovered that Hoyt had already shut the doors, and sitting there on the site was a Cascade Duo just begging to be adopted.
So naturally… I snagged it.
That’s when the idea hit:
If Purple Unicorn exists, she needs a sister board.
Color logic:
Purple Unicorn already owns purple ![]()
I love pink, purple, and black
Therefore… pink
+ sparkles
+ black ![]()
No compromise.
Deck
Hoyt Cascade Duo
Custom finished from raw to riot.
Process:
- Removed factory grip tape
- Alcohol scrub to eliminate all adhesive residue
- Sanded with 220 grit
- Stained using Pink Unicorn Spit
- Sealed with Glaze Coat Ultra Clear + glitter for maximum sparkle

Heat gun used to: - Pop bubbles
- Improve flow and leveling
Final sealing coat: - Ultra clear
No glitter (lock it in clean) - Finish:
High-gloss, pink, sparkly, and obnoxiously beautiful.
Trucks
Duality Trucks
Honestly… just the logical choice.
If you know, you know.

Demon Headlights (because obviously)
Final Thoughts
Raspberry Riot is loud, flashy, pink, sparkly, high-voltage, and completely unapologetic.
She exists because:
- A deck broke
- Hoyt closed
- Doughnuts were eaten
- And restraint was nowhere to be found
This is a sister board built with intention, excess, and a whole lot of personality.
Thanks to everyone at PNW Esk8 Build Day 2025 for the vibes, inspiration, and enabling behavior.
Ride loud. Ride pink.
