I’ve seen enough :joy: it’s clear which one to go with. Thanks guys.

I bumped it back to 65mm width, like the V1 hub everyone loved. It’s about 300g at this width, which is about the same as wide xcells and almost 100g lighter than trampa. 18mm bearing spacing, MBS pattern and a flat rear face so it mounts to literally anything that MBS mounts to.

Will these fit the xcell tyres?
I think i remember they didn’t fit well, and had to cut away a little inside the tire.
If they don’t theres other tyres. No problem.
These wheels are awesome!

Yeah they will fit no problem. V1 didn’t fit because I made the seat 93.8mm like MBS rims and Lacroix. This one is 93mm so it just fits.

not a lot of car guys in here I thought the clear choice was RX5 deep - love that 3-piece look!

do you think you’d ever make these for 200mm tires?

Yeah that’s what I thought! They are two fully finished designs so maybe one day I can offer both.

As for those SR wheels, I have already looked at using that design on a bigger size and it doesn’t quite work. The first problem is adhering to an existing bolt pattern (trampa or MBS), where I had freedom on making my own size. The second problem is that the design is partial to the dimensions of the hub, inflating the dimensions starts to make a little less sense. It becomes heavy and not as strong as my RX5 designs. At this point the RX will serve all the big wheels and the SR is for us car guys that want ultra light deep dish wheels. You’d just need a setup that can take advantage of them.

Here is an inflated version I looked at doing, it is 330g:

sorry if I missed it but what tire sizes will fit on the SR wheels? can I run some metro 155’s on them?

It uses the 6x2 clever tyres, or you can try and fit Hoyts 5 inch tyres. Metros and all the others won’t fit

I have wanted to try those - do you have any thoughts on mocking up some esk8 work meister’s? or esk8 BBS e50’s OR SSR Professor TF1’s :eyes:

Nice work either way! I’m eyeing a set for at least one of my builds

Oh boy I have so many. The reason I chose that retaining ring design is so I can do literally any spoke you can think of on the same bolt pattern. I’m planning work Meister’s, TE37V’s and SSR MK1s for now. Will add more as i can afford to order.

Also, the pieces are interchangeable so if you wanted to change to different spokes, you only need the back halves. I will sell each piece individually.

Not final models but you get the idea

I have never been more excited for esk8 wheels as I am rn. I’ll keep an eye out for when they drop!!!

ok final suggestion knowing your retainer ring plans:

eh? eh? you know you want to

Hahah, I see what your doing… We will see :joy:

I had a look at some of these possibilities, all the tiny spoke options can’t be cut on the CNC. Atleast not very well. Too small

damn - what’s the minimum size roughly? if it gave you one

The radius between spokes needs to be like 4mm. If you picture lots of spokes with radiuses like that it becomes circles. It will be a bit of a challenge to get mesh patterns but some that require a lot of spokes won’t work

Makes sense - I’ll poke around for some other ideas, BBS RF’s come to mind:
