This reads like a backhanded complement. Not sure if that’s what you intended…

Kid is like the Ken Block of esk8!
@evwan
Dylan is likley one of the best talents on the planet ever to step on a raceboard. As the Mach 1 has never been on a pro podium here in The USA and AWD precision truck boards mostly dominate in AU it is pretty dang cool to see a 2wd with outdated RKP tech making a championship run. Winning a race is somthing. Winning a points chamionship is very very hard to accomplish. Once again Congrats to Dylan and Radium Performance. Would be good for racing to see the Radium team represented here in the states.
@JesseM 30kw on 12s still happens.
sorry I’ve been off the forum for a while, just catching up on this.
Joel: SRB v5 Chassis - 14s Lipo w/ 4wd radium motors (2x 6485 & 2x 6455), 2x d100s
Jeff: Custom Semendeed deck, 16s li-ion w/ 4wd Radium motors (2x 6495 & 2x 6465), 2g300 & d100s
Dylan was solid across the entire comp, even with Joel often challenging him and adding pressure. I’m gutted that I haven’t had the chance to race him, basically since heat 1 of round 1, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. He is without a doubt a talented racer and can only imagine what sort of things he’d be capable of if you put more power under his feet also.
We have some extra races coming up across winter, just before the nationals, including a full race weekend (camping, night races etc) at this newly acquired track
We’re also hosting a SRB Moehawk spec race at the indoor track across winter, which is long overdue. We might turn it into a series depending on the turnout. Im sure Dylan will kill it at that too haha!
Just why?
He certainly is. Although what has been very interesting is letting other talented park skaters (often drunk) try the Mach One, and within 5 minutes they’re already starting to do Dylan things that 95% of electric riders can’t do.
So there is a whole potential world of Dylan’s out there. Granted a lot of them won’t go near a longboard let alone an electric one. Dylan is very open minded, he even likes the idea of the kart tires, but I find them hideous and think they’re a sin.
Just goes to show how capable a turnkey production board can be these days. I wouldn’t say the trucks are outdated though. They are ground up design developed specifically for the purpose the Mach One was made for, which is not racing. We tested all kinds of truck designs on the way to the R6 including spherical bearing setups.
We would love nothing more. Let’s see if the new board we’re releasing can drive the revenue to allow us to do it ![]()
@JesseM If you would like a better understanding of the differences between a good fun time cruiser equipment and track peepped race setup come hang out with people who do it.
Always glad to see new people at the track on raceday. Scoot scoot throttle twisters are also welcome.
Kart tires are hard to look at, might want to conider a theology that allows Penance. If not its ok, they will slowly pull away and disappear from view.
Hope it does well. We need more companies involved to support the sport at all levels.

Race enthusiasm among the news forum participation is dismal at best. However, the board #s and race promoters have been outstanding this year. (excluding esk8con.)
Is the new Mach 1 , sorry haven’t seen any details anywhere maybe they’re out there, going to be designed as a race board this time or is this a lower tier than the original?
Naaa, I’m good, all of my crap boards I get standard parts from the hardware store for…
You’ve made a number of incorrect assumptions here and you do know what they say about that don’t you?
The new board is not made for racing either.
Believe me, I want to make a race board. But we’re a tiny team and need to focus on products that will drive revenue into Radium so that when we do make a race board we can do it for fun with no limitations.
Oh got it
I can’t think of how small the racing scene has to be, let alone high-end esk8s. It’s got to be extremely challenging to balance all of the features to add.
Yeah it is definitely frustrating how comparatively small this market is compared to adjacent markets.
We have to hold back maybe 90% of our ideas because there’s no return on investment for them, nor can we hire people to help execute them.
But it’s also a good incubator for developing a highly efficient business model which could be a big advantage in the future.
The thread is quite active today lol, I respect everyone’s opinion, but the only board I’ve never seen anyone resell is Mach one, so that already shows its excellence!
leave that to me bb ![]()
