The washers are the only parts that are not dirty now
It will only take one ride ![]()
Radium performance underwear is up on parts list for ordering
. Just had to get some more as well as some other Mach 1 goodies to prepare to ride when it gets cooler real soon here. Meanwhile, indoor quad skating to maintain balance skills and getting over a bronchitis bout ![]()
I realize that I have soft zones in the carbon enclosure of the Radium Mach One.
Does anybody else have that?
There must be a shortage of resin here, right?
Woah that’s a first!
Please email us contact@radium-performance.com so we can assess it and decide the next steps.
@Tony_Stark what is the maximum wattage rating for your 138kv 6384 motor? The various tables and graphics on your website don’t really make the specs/ratings of each model clear.
If it makes a difference, I’m specifically wondering about running them on 12s. But I don’t think that would make a difference for anything besides max rpm limits and iron losses?
It’s in the product description:
“Dyno verified peak power (15 seconds)- 8397W (245kv/48V), 7026W (205kv/48V)”
But that number is mostly just informative. You can get totally different “peak” and continuous power ratings depending on the test method and criteria.
Heck you can probably overheat the 245kv at 48V with no load if you hold them at max RPM which would make its continuous rating 0W on output in that situation.
And every motor manufacturer tends to test power differently making comparisons difficult.
Yep I saw that.
I’m asking about the 138kv version, which is not in the product description.
It’s basically the same if you match the RPM.
E.g.
205kv x 48V = 9840 RPM
138kv x 72V = 9936 RPM
9936 / 9840 = 1.009 (0.01% difference)
7026W x 1.009 = 7089W
That also tells you that kv and voltage alone don’t really matter, it’s the resulting RPM that moves the needle on peak power
(horsepower = torque x RPM).
Max continuous power is where you consider iron and copper loss more.
Too high RPM and you overheat from iron loss.
Too low RPM and you overheat from copper loss.
The sweet spot varies by application but tends to lie in the 9000-12,000 RPM range for eskate with our motors.
Yeah, what he said, like how many unicorn steeds can my Mach 1 replace in a suburban bicycle lane in 113F ambient temp, when the ozone levels are enough to bring asthma attacks to a middle aged rider![]()
Old post but realize these are Adi-das. Did u ever try them? These are modeled after the very first Adi GSG9 issued boots from the 1990s. The nubs are for all direction grip.
They feel good for riding. Soles are a bit stiff but I don’t really mind it too much.
I’ve been told the dark star will have similar performance to the 6495 but in 6485 size.
Are these the motors on the Mach1S?
While going through some of my stuff, I found a BoardManiac adapter that, from what I can tell, fits the older RS wheel model.
I think I got lucky — it looks like I’ll be able to make a BoardManiac gear drive work with the older RS wheels, which normally only work with Kegel adapters or pulleys.
The only issue is that the mounting holes are slightly smaller than the pins, so I’ll need to open them up a little with a drill.
The only problem is your pulley is going to be a mile away from your wheel… will make fitment on the trucks difficult. The newer wheels have the kegel holes inset into the hub more to allow for the pulley adapter… (Older style on left, newer on right)
Now I understand, the pins fit together better, I’ll be able to screw the axle bolts in all the way, I’m not sure if it will work yet to be honest!
@Tony_Stark the remote on the second Mach one and the one @georgebenett ?
