How can it possibly be legal for a local super market to blast extremely high pitched noises (which change pitch every 5 or so seconds) out to their parking lot and the surrounding area?

My theory is that it’s to push homeless people away since there’s a parking garage in front of it which could make for decent shelter if it’s raining or something… Or it’s for animals.

Sitting in the car while waiting for someone to run in quickly (even with the windows down or up) gives me a horrible headache. It just seems evil.

It could either be bat or dog repellant

My guess is older people can’t hear it very much. There was this one house on the beach near me that had a bat deterrent thing and you could hear it most of the way down to the water, it was very annoying.

Maybe homeless people, maybe marten protection like many have in their cars.

Learning how to use big scary tools with a teacher from work in their workshop. I helped make this today :o

I want to make wooden sculptures so I guess this is a good first step

It was surprisingly comfy! Normally I’m a ā€œchairs should have cushionsā€ kind of person but this one works well without one.

I can’t wait to plug all of the screw holes, oil and seal it.

After that he’s having me build two baby cribs before he lets me touch the lathe :joy:

Woodworking is an awesomely frustrating yet useful life skill to pick up.

Is it for a class or a job?

They’re no joke. I got a chisel tool stuck once on a raw block of wood and it launched the tool 999,999 mph at the back of my teacher’s head. Thank God the lathe had a protective cage on it. Sloooow and steady.

And no long hair or long-sleeved attire. :grimacing:

I would call it a job since he’s paying me, but it’s more so to learn :man_shrugging:t2:

I don’t think his has a cover on it :sob:

Deus ex human revolution. 2012. But still. My favourite game.
After you can try Mankind divided.

lol i played the shit outta all the deus ex games EXCEPT mankind divided, only played a bit of that one, might get back to it eventually. theyre pretty damn good, if occasionally frustrating. going back to human revolution these days, the controls feel odd to me, and i wish i could change them to a bit more of the standard cod first person shooter setup.

The controllers have to be like that, to play the character like you do. I also think it feels weird. But only for a little bit. I’m usually playing Valorant. <—Immortal rank.
I wish the first deus ex would be remade, after the next chapter in Adam Jensens story. After all, JC Denton is the baddest ass of them all.

for similar gameplay style, i absolutely LOVE the dishonored series. cant believe bethesda made something so clean.
