This is also assuming you’re driving an almost drag-less propeller with no gear reduction that is actively cooling the motor as well. They’re just normal 6355 motors, probably shittier performance than the Reacher tech / radium 6355s based on lack of vents. No idea why people would pay that much.
Not in this case.
Seems like an awful lot of assumptions are being made here
These motors betw units were dangerous. Id suggest no one take the leap until real world data is out there.
That and Matt Hoover is a massive cunt bag.
These are are neumotors OEM no? Their products are all designed around RC air vehicles and their testing numbers pretty clearly show that.
Take any 6355(60) and try and throw 160A at it for longer than a minute (Which they claim is continuous @ 12s), surprise, you can’t. Visually, they look to have less copper fill than 2019 TB6355s which were comfortable doing about ~35A continuous so unless there exists some magical reason these can do almost 5x the continuous current (Meaning they would have to have a similar internal resistance of a 500kV 56123 inrunner just to give you an similar 9kW continuous, 15kW peak motor) Neumotor just pulled these numbers out of no where or they were tested in conditions that an RC airplane would be subject to i.e. a metric ton of air flowing over and through them with almost no load.
I would love to be proven wrong, but Ive seen far too much bull shit in this market space and I have less than 0 faith in Matt Hoover.
6565 is the size of the stator the outside dimensions are 7775… The 74xx reachers seem to get hotter than 63xx size from what I’ve seen reported. I wonder if the Xcell/Neu are any better.
Okay, you’re right there, I didn’t notice that but I think all of my points still apply, and I agree with you that 74xx and even some 80xx motors seem to run hotter overall than 63xx motors so Im still incredibly dubious of their claims with 0 recorded tests of the motors being run at these massive current levels.
What’s also interesting is per the spec sheet 7775 Xcell is slightly lighter than a reacher 6385. Neu has pretty good reputation I wonder if they just needed a better esc than Stormcore that are known to catch fire.
is trampa vesc really worth the price of a regular dual vesc, i wanted to get the new version
Depends on your needs, your finances, and your space.
should fit just about any of them, just want the most overkill one
For what? a 4S battery and a 30mm BLDC motor?
or a 38S battery and five 25kg PMSM motors?
10s batty
You don’t need a motor controller at all. Save your money.
damn guess ill stick a fork between the motors and battery, more efficient
Oh, you have motors? Then you might need motor controllers.
Your lack of input makes helping you very difficult.
really wanting a bullbar – are there a good universal one I can find anywhere? the bike bar extender style ones don’t really hold up long term
using luna trucks but they’re the older style with no threads tapped… any advice is appreciated
What profile? 22x22?
Hot take: esk8 is just high speed power squatting
