Prebuilt Board Discussions

While DIY is the dream for most, many don’t have the time or inclination to build. (Level 0 +)

So here, we can talk about any and all completes, from a Meepo Campus all the way up to a Bajaboard. Try not to be a snob. Everyone can be at different stages and interest levels in this sport without the world grinding to a halt.

Used Meepo Awd pro or used bustin V2 ? Both barely used. $300 difference

I’ve got the mboards endurance longboard, my first real board. Having trouble with it. I don’t know if I’m just missing a 10mm washer or if I’m just not setting up the wheel pulley and belt tension, if my motor is going out, or if I’m just paranoid crazy and pissed off. Help plz.

just wanted to say that im thinking of getting the meepo flow, but i dont know how “surfy” it is. I come from a carver surfskate so id like to have something that maybe i can tune to be as close as possible to it. I basicly want to be able to both carve and go fast, am open to anything (i know it wont be as carvy but still)

Heyhey

I hope this is the proper section to ask for some product recommendations.

Ive used a Meepo Hurricane for several years and now want to dip my toes into something more, but I am overwhelmed with the product selection. The range of China-OEMs is too big for me to evaluate all and see threw reviews for the quality of them - as it seems they are all kinda bad for what you actually pay (same with Meepo), and the custom board makers here in Europe like BioBoard dont seem to have modern specifications but charge high prices.

What I did like was Acedecks Horizon concept with suspension tracks. Paired with a flex-board/flex-battery it seems like the best in shock absorbing and dampening vibrations, right? I would prefer this for my old bones and joints

But I would also love to have something DIY open that can be modded later on too - so I was thinking to maybe ask in here what recommendations you have?

A small list of specs I think I like (Im not 100% sure) :

  • Rider: 90kg, 180cm/6ft, expirienced enough to go full throttle with every Meepo Board Ive owned
  • Terrain: 50%+ streets, but I want it to work exp. on bike trails in the woods with no hard surface
  • Tabless Cell Battery Pack
  • Flex-Batterypack
  • IP68 → Non Flex Pack?
  • Battery: 1kWh in Hurricane really doesnt last long. I want 2kWh, but I think I prefer 1 internal + 1 external, so I can have a lighter board too. But Im open minded for every solution
  • Flex-Board
  • Gearbox: I dont care for the noise. I dont want belts, period! Wasted too much money on them
  • Gearbox Ratio: ?
  • Motors: Maybe 4WD (I never owned one) → I dont ride in deep grass but sometimes on a sandy patch the 2WD Hurricane struggles a lot, maybe even requiring to get off the board
  • → I used regular 7” (?) mixed-terrain wheels, so maybe I want bigger wheels?
  • Carving experience: No stiff high speed board thats meant to go straight. Im fine with REAL 50km/h and dont need to chase for some 70-100km/h setup
  • Compatible with other remotes → no proprietory stuff
  • Hidden Air Tag compartment ^^
  • ~2000€

Until than I will try to find other boards that offer some suspension, but so far only found the Linnpower Overland and am not sure if I like their concept.

Thanks ahead!

Hey folks,

after my last Propel expirience Im looking again for some other board.

Some specs are mentioned before, but actually Im open minded to “anything” that is a 2in1 or Offroad with indipendent Suspension. I just dont know all the hypes: Ownboard Prometheus, Linnpower Overland or EVO MK1, Acedeck Horizon, this and that. Too many boards to deep dive. I just want quality and am willing to pay “a premium” without dipping my toes in all the DIY/DIY-Used Market/Researching China Brands stuff.

Someone who can make it easy for me?

Thanks
