A far better option would be to put them inside of a motor can.

you should really consider your bushings setup. that top cone looks a little sad.
It works like a charm, function over form.
The bushing setup is actually pretty great, good carvability and stability at 26mph. Might just be the angle

awesome, each to their own, but I that kingpin nut I cranked down pretty hard…

My best performing setups also have really soft bushings that are cranked down way over what they should be. More stiff bushings and less crank-down just has me feeling less in control of the vehicle.

Amazing! Probably more economical then simply buying stainless steel mesh
Yeah, it was avialable here and now, around 0.79 euro 
Way cheaper than the 10$ I saw on amazon for stainless steel mesh.
