I have an old Exway Flex V1 and want to keep the trucks. I have a Tomiboy battery enclosure and a Ubox VESC. Now I’m looking for a suitable deck to fit that battery enclosure. I want a deck that is stiff and large but still has some flex. I’m based in Switzerland, so I’d like to save on expensive shipping if possible while still using high-quality parts—basically, I want to build a “Frankenstein” board. I don’t want a board that’s rock-hard, though, so I’m considering a Swiss-made Linum 116 (Flex 1).
The manufacturer wrote to me. The Rocket has a hollow core, making it less suitable for threaded inserts. Therefore, it is unsuitable.
I have a new idea, and the Madrid board seems like a great fit to me, too. It might well be a bit too long, though. What do you think—how would a board that long ride?
It looks like you’re looking for a ‘dancer’ style deck with the hopes that you’ll find something with minimal flex…
Typically those dancer decks flex quite a lot due to their size and use case, i think you’ll struggle to find something suitable on your current trajectory.

Please excuse my poor English. I ride around Zurich, Switzerland. I can’t use a high-powered board with a wide deck and huge wheels; I need a board that is low-profile and inconspicuous—like the 007. There are so many people here in Zurich who ride and commute on standard longboards. I used to have an Exway Flex.
I really like that style, but I wanted something a bit more stable and faster.
I’m looking for a board with more 3D shaping to give me that “locked-in” feeling. I don’t want a “rocking horse” that bounces up and down like a rubber band. From what I can tell, the Thomy Board doesn’t have that issue. However, the Thomy Board is quite expensive—plus shipping—even though the CHF/USD exchange rate looks favorable for me. 470 + 100 = 570 USD. + Import 8,1%
I’m working on the liquid sword v2 right now. It should be ready next month. It will be 40” with two different drop selections, 25mm and 45mm. The enclosure will be bigger as well.

Just to clarify what I’m looking for in a deck shape: I really need proper 3D shaping with a distinct concave. I want those micro-drops, wheel flares, or foot pockets that give you a completely “locked-in” feeling at higher speeds.
I don’t want a flat deck or something that feels like a bouncy rocking horse. I need the curves in the wood to cradle my feet and keep them securely in place when going fast, while the overall profile of the board still looks like a stealthy, low-profile standard longboard. Does the Liquid Sword V2 have that kind of locked-in 3D pocket feel?
I’ve finished the design for the LS v2, but I haven’t made the molds yet or a model. I need to do that to check the contours. I’ll probably just 3d print it. If you have access to 3d printing, I’ll happily give you a model to print. Then you can check it out yourself.
That enclosure that you have will fit the Odachi V2. It’s the Odachi v1 enclosure, but I can still make it fit the V2
