Old Wowgo 2s powered by 14s instead 10s LiIon?

Hello,

I have just killed the battery in my Wowgo2. I had overcharged the battery and obviously the Chinese saved on the BMS.

My other battery systems are now all running on 14s LiIon (52V). What voltage can the Wowgo components tolerate? Would the components also tolerate a maximum voltage of 58V? Switching from 10s to 14s was no problem for my ebikes. However, this only worked with new firmware.

Many thanks in advance!

Those use hobbywing controllers that can only handle 10s afaik.

I recommend replacing it with a VESC, it’ll make it such a better board.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I hadn’t thought about converting to VESC before. Sounds interesting. But maybe now is the time to finally get a board with bigger wheels for bad roads. Ideally one with a 14s battery
