But a bike on the moon sounds pretty good: with like 1/6th of earth’s gravity I imagine getting traction will be a problem and I’ll want my tires at maybe a 1/6th the tire pressure,… but once I got moving the low air density should allow me to really hit high speed.
@Trampa no Vesc bikes in space?
At least Mr. V works in aerospace industry so probably not so unlikely.
I think @Deodand is there also helping him building a vesc spaceship
Ive heard BV working on electric plane for awhile, but I doubt any vesc is actually going into a plane.
„Ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot speaking. We just got a DRV error on our left engine. If any passenger on board has a copy of Ackmaniac firmware on your computer we please ask you to come forward to the front of the plane. Over.“
This is great
Ok, cool, thanks very much. I will probs get that.
Just checking, it does support BLDC motors right? I dont wana get it to find out it doesn’t work.
Sorry for the noobie question, all your help is greatly appreciated
Yea should do, VESCs are supposed to be able to run any 3 phase motor
Brushed motors too! xD
Damn, can’t believe he had time to make VESC AND minecraft!
Would only make sense if he was a homophobic racist neonazi
woah there lmao he just looks similar geeze
Lmao some people won’t get this but it’s pretty damn funny
not necessary, bad joke
Nah he’s taking the piss out of a guy who’s openly just bad news, it’s fair game. No disrespect to Vedder though, just Notch
If you throw a lot of amps a motor, it might saturate and then currents shoot up faster than you can react.
Depending on the motor, saturation is reached faster than you think. It it is possible to drive such motors, but you need to use manually adjusted values for inductance and resistance and flux linkage and observer gain. The new upcoming Vesc Tool should be much better at detecting complicated motors. However, it is always wise to open the RT-Data and go to the FOC tab. When current ripples occur, you need to let go the throttle and re-adjust.
why does your advertisement show and talk of using bicycles if youre saying its too dangerous to use bikes? saturation could happen with any small motor, if anything a giant hub motor with lots of iron would be less likely to saturate, no?
Depends on the motor and the amps you shoot at it. You can dial in pretty much any motor if you know how. Once the new VESC-Tool is out, we will produce a Video.
