Making a video on this Lee? Will be looking to upgrade my 12s MTB in the future to a 16s, would rather get the Spinted since it’s much cheaper than the stormy. Would love to know how it runs for you.

I also had issues with makerX and the customer service was extremely bad

Problems with your HV200? Do tell, I’ve had fantastic customer service on a unit I bought second hand on the forum.

TRAMPA!
Always!

Ok, Would you suggest getting the mini foc plus for an ebike build?

80amps will be plenty, and I really like the price, or should I save a bit more and get the GO-FOC HI100 75V 100A?

You’re better off using an ebike controller for an ebike build. They have better features (Usually a really easy to use screen, systems for lights, horn etc, a power switch)
We can’t use them on esk8 because they’re mostly single motor only and absolutely massive, and usually not that programmable. But on an ebike it doesn’t really matter if its programmable because you can get the controller in whatever voltage you want, and its way cheaper too. Sabvoton 72V is $250

Oh ok, I am using a 6384 BLDC motor (Skateboard motor) btw
The reason i was looking at these ESC’s was because of price, i dont really wana burn 250 bucks, when i could get something that does the same thing for 180.
Would the ebike controllers have a longer life span/ be more reliable?

Yea the ebike controllers are more reliable and cheaper. 250, but you’re gonna get throttles, a screen, bluetooth, a power switch and other features for it. The VESC is great alone, but doesn’t have any of the things listed and you’d be lucky to get them all under $100 more, especially the screen which isn’t really a readily available thing like for ebike controllers

That being said, given you’re using an outrunner, a VESC might end up making more sense. Most ebike controllers are designed for massive inrunners or hubs, not really outrunners and im not sure they’d work together as nicely

Don’t use VESCs for ebikes. We burnt a VESC 100/250 on just a couple miles. Trampa didn’t replace it. They said VESCs are not compatible with ebikes.

Furthermore Ubox is a good choice. Tested it with 12S/100A and 16S100A is incoming.

Weird and they make it out like it’s for bikes on their site. I’ve used vescs on bikes running the no limits firmware a while now no problem.

They said the motors are too different and that’s why they don’t provide warranty for it.

They shouldn’t say for bikes on their site and misleading. There aren’t many uses for the high power vescs other than a bike really unless u want to fly.

how different?

ok, thanks.
The only problem is that I have already set everything up on the bike, as in I have coded an Arduino for the analog throttle conversion to PWM, I have my own screen I coded, all I need it jut something that allows me to turn the motor faster than the set throttle (my current esc doesn’t let me do that, so riding it is impossible)
Would you still recommend a ebike controller? or is a VESC a better choice?
I am open to all suggestions

@Trampa what you mean not for a bike?
