Oil slick chrome MBS wheels

I.just sprung for a set over bfcm but used the forum 25% code instead to justify the offset in price vs the black set… Sexy looking… Just waiting for my welding buddy to fab me up a set of angled base plates for an upcoming hummie build.

Hummie eh?

I’m listening. You got any reference for what a final build would look like? Perform like?

Drop through 35° metal riser/adapter

Drop a pic like it’s hot to convince.

Gotta go back

Neochromeparts quotes at 74$ per disk. I think that might be exorbitant, but it is for onsies and twosies. Complete service assume they will have to mask and prep the surface.

I’ll inquire about a group buy. Fair to say 10 folks are serious about some bling here?

Those rims appear to be RC car rims.

So $300ish for a set of 4 hubs?

Think so. At least for the exterior rim faces. Solid chance I’ll send 6shooters or MBS rims as a test and then see if vendors of those products will follow suit. I’m still going to see about the local guy here in San Diego and klauses friend.

Where the hell is MBS during all of this. They should already be making these.

To be honest, I bet the chromed trucks were a stretch and maybe the boss was out sick and a stoner on the design side snuck it through.

They are gonna get scratched. These aren’t exactly made for garage queen boards.

Damn that’s definitely more than I wanted to hear lol.
If spending that much I’d definitely rather have it on hubs that can take 8 or 9 inch tires.

The rockstar hubs take 8inch

Yrp. But not 9

Ahh i get you now

If you’re going baller status might as well go for Etoxx.

These are the pictures that sold me on them.

Not only are the hubs sexy but the tires fill out differently.

I’m sure we can just dip them in oil and torch them a bit and get the exact same effect right?

What about heat anodization? Doesn’t sound as easy to replicate or reliable but it’s an option?
