Yesterday night, I carved on the street.
Suddenly, I heard a sound that like metal scratch.
my speed is slow down.
I found one of my front wheel is disappear.
It seems my nylon nut loose.
Is anyone has this experience?
Could I apply some screw glue on it?
Typically you want a new nylon nut & make sure to torque it down/properly tighten it against the bearing. Also make sure your bearings have proper spacers if they need them.
If you can’t get a new nylon nut, loctite 242/243 should work as long as you let it cure overnight.
Replace the nyloc nuts when they become loose.
Replace any nylock that you can thread by hand, avoid using a drill/impact (the rapid motion generates heat and melts the nylon), and don’t use them any more than absolutely necessary (use a standard nut for test fitting and use the minimum length screws you can find)
In theory you’re supposed to change nyloc nut every time you take it off, well that’s what you should do automotive, so probably the same for any nyloc nut but nobody does it
I think the most safest way apply the screw glue and nylon nut both
didn’t know I could talk Chinese x)
nah best way to secure something is with green threadlock or weld the nut on the axle lmao
replace the nylon nut every few removal, roughly. as long as u can’t turn it by hand using any amount of force, then it fine imo
1 bag of 100 nylon nut is cheap anyway, should last u plenty of time
