[NSW, Australia] Government Response to Recommendations for Private PEV Use

Here’s the state’s response on allowing the private use of PEVs such as e-bikes, e-scooters, including e-skates and EUCs. They mostly agree in principle but expect they’d enforce things some people won’t like. The only thing they don’t support is mandatory insurance–they’ll evaluate first if any model will be viable.

Still, I think the “don’t be a dick” rule will still apply. I.e. if you’re not being a dick, the police would be willing to ignore you which is the consensus on how they mostly act anyway. Except HWP; everyone hates them.
