Noticed quicker acceleration while holding water bottle?

skill issue

It definitely feels like my kick resets faster on a climb with the bottle…

I bet only works w beer bottles

That’s probably true but its probably a better idea long-term to do core exercises or something. Good balance and posture, bend at the hips not the lumbar, etc.

I’ve pulled my back once before when i started learning to rollerblade, climbed a lot of hills without good technique and i ended up in a lot of pain. IDK if the same issue is at play with you but plz consider it as an option.

So close! I’m .01 g off you lol

See if you can get more w/ bottle

are you insuating that a minor

drink BOOOOZE?!

When I do it, its sort of like this but with no motor

You peaked at 1 g but average was much less…

Was the accelerometer on your board or in your hand?

Maybe my average would have been higher if I had a water bottle

I did get a new answer today on physics forums…

“ You can get arbitrarily high acceleration by leaning alone. Take the arc tangent of the horizontal acceleration in g’s. The acceleration in g’s is also the required coefficient of friction.

A drag racer can pull 5 g’s. The arc tangent of 5 is around 79 degrees. If you measured the angle from the contact patch under the rear tires to the center of gravity, it would need to be under 12 degrees from the horizontal. [Ignoring aerodynamic effects]

You say that a skater can pull over 1 g. The arc tangent of 1 is 45 degrees. So the lean angle will be over 45 degrees from the vertical. You measure that angle from the contact patch under the skateboard to the position of the center of gravity of the skater plus counterweight.

If a motorcycle can corner at 2 g’s then the lean angle will be 64 degrees from the vertical. You measure that angle from the contact patch to the center of gravity of rider plus bike. [Ignoring gyroscopic effects]”

I liked you better when you made animated graphs.

i keep thinking about how this problem had two pivot points.

we want to fall off the board and basically pivot various points down to the ankles.

the board wants to lift from the ground at the wheels like a dragster. (ignoring 4wd )

maybe they can be combined for the sake of this problem tho.

I think with a tiny bottle on a long enough pole you could avoid leaning 45 degrees.

Here’s a link to an arctan calculator:

Simply type in the acceleration you want in G’s and it will tell you the required forward lean angle between your rear contact patch and center of mass including any counterweight.

no you can’t cause your com is so high up from the board it’ll just shoot out from under your feet
you likelyneed an unrealisticallylong pole or heavy water bottle

so this is where I come for big hits of copium?

I think with a 20kg bottle on a 17ft pole you could do 1g without leaning.
