NOOBS FIRST BUILD IDEAS - HELP!

Here’s a cost breakdown of my board using mostly budget parts built last summer:

100€ - Deck
65€ - Wheels
30€ - Bearings
65€ - Trucks
200€ - Batteries
25€ - BMS
25€ - Charger
120€ - VESCs
200€ - Motors
80€ - Motor mounts, pulleys, belts
45€ - Enclosure
40€ - Remote
40€ - Nuts, bolts, connectors, misc

Total: 1035€
This is with dual 6374 and 10S 10Ah lipo (cheap but heavy).
Range is around 35km (22 miles)

A battery with 50 mile range will be around 400-500 dollaroos so add 200 to the above.
Realistically you’re looking at 1200€ to get what you’re after.

Meh might as well list mine that I’m working on right now

$115 - Deck
$120 - wheels + wheel pulleys
$59.98 - Motor mounts
$7.98 - belts
$140 - Makerx dual
$119 - 6355 motors (bkb black friday sale)
$116.30 - bigben enclosure
$75 - remote
$45.89 - charger
$0.00 12s7p of 30q cells, diy salvage cells, est $10 for nickel
$34 - BMS
$5.80 - XT-90S loopkey
$24 - caliber trucks
$80 - Boardnamics hangers
$58 - Metr pro group buy

Total: ~$1000 (NO battery cost at all) many items purchased off the forum and on sales over time

This doesn’t include wiring for the build, bits and bobs, all of the tools I have, etc. Granted this is a pretty ballin build, but I expect 35 miles of range approximately, 35 mph, etc.

I will go with the unpopular option, but might work for someone with no DIY skills and not really wanting to mess with it:

Ownboard w2 kit: 350$
@tinp123 or some of the others battery builders in the forum battery: whatever they can build with 400$
Deck: buy something used but good at 50$

Problem solved with 800$ and decent components
