Can you show the duty cycle as well? Those spikes look like they want to blow some mosfets
Ok, i admit i’m absolutely lost. Only thing left to try is under load, but you need a test subject with thick bones for that
Interesting.
Does not happen on UnityFW.
Happens on 5.02 (detection on PC)
Happens on 5.01 but later (detection on PC)
Happens on 5.01 (detection on metr)
Does not Happen on 5.01 (detection on Vesc tool android)
My 12s4p battery stops charging at 49.0 volts. I just noticed this. Does this mean a cell is damaged, or a balance lead is disconnected?
To get a conclusive answer, it would require more investigation. Is the battery brand new or old?
Battery was bought secondhand, but it was almost new when bought. I’ve only been using it since start of January, every other day.
DId you only just now measure voltage, or was it just fine before?
There’s a voltage meter that turns on when i plug in the loop key, so it’s been fine up until last full charge.
There could be a bad cell, but with such a voltage difference it’s likely that you’ll have to tear the heatshrink off and probe each cell group. It sounds like there’s a cell group that’s low and could have a bad cell. Can’t be 100% sure just based on voltage, but I have a 10s2p that only charged up to 40.5v and this was the issue.
Bad news for me since im in a college dorm room… . My theory is the pack became unbalanced because I have a 4amp charger which may be too fast. Thanks for the help
I don’t think so, as thats 1a per parallel group, which is perfectly fine for a BMS to balance…
I’m just gonna leave it plugged into the charger for a day to see if that helps…
thats a good idea, but leave the battery in a flameproof/less dangerous area just to be safe. Since the battery is presumably good quality, there shouldn’t be a fire risk but it never hurts to be safe.
Battery was made by psychotiller if that eases your mind any.
Then I doubt it’s error, which leaves it to either be a hiccup or bad cell(s)
That doesn’t ease my mind at all, it’s worse. Much better than an etsy/alibaba/mboards battery but not a proper 2021 esk8 battery. Those are 2017 technology batteries.
oh, I figured since I recognized the name it couldn’t be bad. I’m unaware of the controversies around this person.
put them in a fireproof box it is
It seems likely to me that there is a broken piece of nickel somewhere inside. But IDK
