Newsesh Echo GTP - Endless / Push Assist

Those were tried on hypertrucks and various other channel trucks, and produced more problems than they solved. I believe the issue there was the bearing getting fouled with road grime, increasing friction, and then beginning to wear away at the aluminum seat in the baseplate.

That makes sense.

There is something to be said for having a specific easy to replace part also be the wearing part of an assembly. In my cue which is years long i wanna make a set of trucks like dualities and these floating king pin for analog/acoustic and small eskate.

Still not satisfied with the abbreviation for them and obviously this is the most importantly part . Frkp is my suggestion.

Ideally a cast hanger with just minimal touches to improve performance and a machined baseplate like these or dualities but stripped of the extras like bearing or ball joint bs on the above setup with 10mm axles. Still very very far down the queue

the trigger has been pulled. looking forward to this. when i rode it in China it felt like the perfect hybrid between traditional skate and the electric we all know and love.

the perfect coffee runner, pub crawler or beachside roller. looking forward to the change of pace after predominantly spending most of my time on a board at the race tracks.

That was seriously one of the worst reviews i’ve ever seen. I feel stupider for watching it

21miles / 32.6km fully electric

40miles / 64km push assist

I smell a shill

I get 20 miles from a 12s2p bak 45d on unlimited hubs. Im 200lbs and because the unlimited hubs are running vss i do a lot of pushing off but definitely not quite 50% of the time. Doesn’t see too out of bounds to me personally. The video im not excited about but the claim seems within reason to me. Really like this setup and tempted to snag one to likely immediately modify. Honestly glad you got one to try and im putting off snagging one to see what ya think about it.

As I mentioned up thread I can squeeze out 10 miles with some push starting from my 10S1P 4Ah hub board. 12S2P 8Ah should hit 21 miles on the flat at moderate cruising speeds.

Lol yeah i’m putting off buying a second one until i’ve tried it out first because i know for sure i’m gonna want to modify.

Super surprising that the range numbers are probably real, thats crazy. I’m dubious but hopeful.

My Newsesh is scheduled to be delivered Monday next week, very happy with the shipping time. Excited to check it out.

wait, hold my beer, i think i can make that push-assist a feature on my receiver, it talks straight to vesc over can, it can read the motors erpm, so we can detect a change in speed (a push) and send comand set rpm while having a nice decaying curve.
Will try that weekend, is that something that gb remote owners would be prone to try it out?

I’d love to try it out actually. Should be possible to implement receiver side

How do you detect foot braking?
