Bioboards has achieved 4:1 with doable clearance for 110mm size wheels. With something like the new SR125s, or MAD 125s? It should be plenty doable.
Maybe 125 yeah - I always forget about BB gears, maybe they’re smaller mod?
Not too sure tbh. But theres another factor that comes into play with the 4GS drives - technically, it wouldnt be impossible to make them a dual stage reduction. They’d have to be a bit thicker of a drive, but theres already the secondary gearset there, its just a matter of figuring out spacing at that point and making the intermediate gear two gears on a common shaft.
Does anyone know the thread pitch for the hex screws? Accidentally stripped the screws used for the motor mount (M4 x 30) and cover (M4 x 8) when trying to remove them. I have a screw extractor on the way but want to make sure I order the right replacement screws. I am guessing they are the standard coarse pitch (0.7mm) but figured I would ask.
they are
thank you very much!
Is anyone running Newbee 4GS with xcell rims? Looking for a fitment check
I don’t see why they wouldn’t work, those are Mbs pattern
Interference occurs when using the accelerator wheel. You can use it by putting some washers on the axle. my wheels is Xcell Apollo XT
Thanks! Do the bolt heads used to mount the adapter plate get in the way? That was my concern also since the mounting threads are only on the inner face of the rim. Any chance I could see a photo of the adapter plate mounted?
Yes, it does. There will be interference without the washer. You will also need to use shorter bolts on the hub side than the ones that come with the Landsurf. I will attach a photo later. I am outside right now.
Appreciate it. With washers creating clearance, do you still have enough thread on the axle to secure the wheel?
This is super helpful because I’m trying to see the fit for hypertrucks specifically.
@andoug
came back I received 4 washers from a friend. I put 2 in and there is no interference. And the axle nut can be sufficiently locked. My Landsurf nut is for MBS, so I tested it with a different nut. The black nut is long, so it looks less locked, but a Landsurf axle nut or a regular nut will suffice.
Thank you! Much appreciated
May I ask where you purchased those black, long lugs from?

That nut looks great, unfortunately there’s no nylon nut version of it. A bit skeptical if it will hold on from vibrations from riding.
so i buy hypertruck ver xcell nut again
If you’re talking about the xcell axle nuts, they hold fine. on a 12mm axle with proper spacers, you can just crank down the axle nut with more torque and it’s plenty. Lacroix and xcell both don’t use nylocks - i’ve never had one come loose.
Am curious - is that with or without loctite? If with, do you use a particular type, or just the generic blue/242?
