I say this respectfully as i sexualize shoulder models, but riptide was brought up many times in this thread by others b4 brad chimed in with clarification(not promotion).
Reaching a bit there.
Cool to see a nod to Moe and SRB as the inspiration of the design.
Rad adjustable baseplate innovation to the concept also. It’ll be interesting to see what decks people end up using these with and how they perform.
Sorry, all…
unfortunately, i had some delays with manufacturing the axles…the estimate time of this batch would be 30th.
These are the updates so far…all aluminum parts are done.
Before that, this small issue need to be re-processe, the counterbore didn’t do well, bolts isn’t seat in very perfect.
No bushings?
They aren’t pictured. Will go on either side of the main spherical bearing with a nut behind them
Oh so happy I ordered mine in black
Black with chrome looks pretty hot
Looking forward to getting my set!
bushing not installed in the picture, but you could run either no bushings too.
Seems like a bad idea to run with no bushings, I’d expect it to be really loose and hard to control.
It looks good. They are definitely not a grombiz. They look more of a mashup of the two different trucks though. They do look 100% more professional then what is out there currently. But they do need bushing agents the heim, and a nut for bushing tightness. Any bushings can be modified really easily with a drill gun and a cheap lollipop cutter. That’s how The Stooge modified his barrel bushing to work with the 3-link before riptide was in the picture.
8 and 12mm axle options ?
You could get rid of both and have 10mm Axles as bearings readily available for all variants of wheels.
As pre-production have sold out - When is the next batch available ?
I’ll have a Black Set please
Just checking, will the next batch be 20x20mm? Or will it be subjected to change? Also, the axle choices, I saw that it shows 8/12mm on the website. But then also heard 10mm in the works, i don’t know who to believe
i thought i saw a post somewhere talking about going to 22x22 somewhere but idk where it is. anyways, i think going 10mm instead of 8mm would be beneficial since you can get 10mm bearings for street and a/t wheels. (6900 and 16100 respectively)
Next batch would be 22*22, currently only 12mm axle available. Not sure how many demand of 8mm axle yet.
You right, man. The reason I’m using the 12mm axle is could compatible our RTKP truck too.
