Bang for buck, I doubt you can beat this. Will hold a 12s8p plus your esc if your want it to.

If you plan on keeping your esc separate, look for similar ones on ebay or Amazon. Search “junction box”. Waterproof, can take a hell of a beating, and look smoother than the pelican cases imo.
“Buy nice or buy twice” is the truest statement and mistake around here.

Fun tip about ip ratings:
The first digit pertains to solid objects (dust)
The second digit pertains to liquids (water)
I’d say ip56 is fine but wouldn’t argue against ip66 or higher.

‘Deadman switch’ only one I know of is on the firefly Adurino based remote, and that one has reliability issues (mine did anyway) and it’s tough to find one premade.
Embrace the occasional accidental throttle blip or habitually turn off remote the second you step off the deck.
Hoyt boards has a ‘standby’ mode that helps prevent accidental throttle.

Problem about focboxes is they sell like hot cakes so hard to get one

Now I am only missing a BMS, I’m struggling to find a consensus on a 12s li-ion BMS. Would 10s10p battery layout make it easier to find one ?

This one works great, I use the same BMS. Its charge only though so it will not limit your output amps, which for most people is a good thing. Maybe ask @tinp123 if he has one laying around for a more affordable price
