New DIY onewheel kit

Is that a different hub motor/wheel than the one offered by floatwheel? Have you checked fitment yet?

No, that’s the Float Wheel hub. I haven’t put it together yet, I’m waiting to clear some stuff off my project list. Most likely next week.

Ooh nice! 0.o did you pay however much extra for the teleportation shipping?

Just order it and put the hub by plane? Costs more but if you have a battery handy, you’ve got a floatwheel road ready in under a week

Hi guys,

I’m reading you since some days now and I decided to subscribe to reply.

First I want to congrats @Enginir for his work with his duo !

Before placing an order just one few questions :

  • @Enginir are you planning to use 6" or 4.5" standard tyres ? It can be difficult for us to find replacements tyres ? (A poster found only 2 references it’s not very safe…)

  • Why not print on the main parameters to set the motor controller and balance / pushback for new users ? Or maybe with the video on the way it will be more easy !

I’m a member of a french Onewheel fans on facebook and we are truly interested by this open source project.
The bitcoin can afraid some people but we trust on you

Continue this business and thank you for all your work :v:
Long life to this thread and the community !

Ps : I’m a first responder for the French Red Cross against the covid-19. I’m planning to deliver the tests from our campain testing center to the labs by the floating way :business_suit_levitating:

This is awesome, I hope you can capture some of it for us!

I will do I promise ! But first I need to buy the kit and programming it (and I don’t know wich parameters…)

And I have others plans… If it’s cool and works weel I’m planning to put one in each of our ambulances. It can be pretty cool for the driver who stay inside. Often he have to come to the team near the patient with heavy stuff such as Lifepack, O2 bottle, stretcher… We can save huge amount of time !

We also have paramedics bike team for some events. So why not floatwheel paramedics team ! For sure @Enginir will make a custom paramedic board :sunglasses:

That you can learn easy in a single session

Until you fall and you need to call a second ambulance and they get in a car accident and so on-

yes I love this, you can have the anti-nosedive wheels at the front be part of a stretcher!

Haa weird idea !
Imagine you’re laying on your back injured and afar you see your paramedic coming, and then he nosedive in front of you :joy:

OneWheel Cooler

Can be fun seeing your team riding something like this :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

For those of you that need to get bumpers to complete your kit. Now seems like a good time, bf 25% off

Sorry for double post, I cannot edit.

Did someone find 5.5" tyres for replacement ? Should we wait for a 6" version ?

It’s ride

I just had to stop and say I love this. I always hated OneWheel cuz I just have to ā€œbuyā€ one. My whole attraction to esk8 has been DIY and I would buy this just because I had a hand in building and programming it over the one wheel. Same thing stopping me from buying an electric unicycle, so who’s going to make the first electric uni DIY kit now?!? :stuck_out_tongue:

Make sure you load this before doing your motor detection, otherwise redo the detection after loading it.
