It’s been a little while since the old NYC eboarding charging map went down,
so I have now re-developed a new charging map and imported the data.
New charging spots can be submitted on the site and there are some new features like
Shareable links to a specific charging spot
Posting updates to charging spots so we can update old entries if they are now gone or inaccessible etc…
Direct link to google maps navigation for quick directions to a charging spot
Having charging spot info available is a great resource imo and just wanted to keep it alive. This is also not limited to just NYC of course - you can add charging spots anywhere in the world.
New spots are moderated just in case someone gets any weird ideas and uploads some NSFW photo - please don’t lol.
A new function was added to the charging map to improve usability and our dataset. On any charging spot you can now select confirm that it is in working order using the checkmark button. This way we can keep old (and new) charging spots in check and improve their usability. So if you are ever charging at an already known charging spot - make sure to confirm that it is working as that will re-set the “Working” timer (for 1 year)
New filters
In addtion to this; it is now possible to filter the charging map by recently added (<1 year) or by the aforementioned recently confirmed working (which also includes recently added charging spots). This will help you find working charging spots as the data becomes better.
