For the price of one boosted extended battery, you made me a 50km one !
Ehhhhh not really
Oh yeah exactly… I forgot to mention the raptor
I believe they got inspired by the hollow AT wheels with holes pierced in.
Actually not remotely a bad idea for an esk8, it will allow more deformation thus better absorption + more urethane all around while the non pierced walls should keep the wheel from deforming too much thus keeping some rolling ability.
Kinda like a step under the dual compound wheel but with single material.
But yea it’s super expensive.
Edit :
Yesh those holes are gonna be filled with shit and dirt real soon and you are gonna have to take a screwdriver or something to get that nasty stuff out.
I’m imagining some sort of mold build up on the inside after riding when wet out.
They are not.
yeah no. Half of them had standard batteries, and the other half only a single ‘extended range’ battery
Mine can go 30km range and 35km+ at their speeds
i kinda like the idea, would love a softer ride than my 107s and dont want AT…
but it would be weird to put something boosted on my evo
I feel like the wholes are gonna lead to wheels breaking into unridable chunks. Like chunking on a whole other level?
Probably reduce range and spill dirty water on the floor when you bring them inside
is there any alternatives if im set on trying something like this?
i dont want this to inspire me to drill my reflys
These might be a flywheel option.
Actually with those hole, you increase rolling resistance due to the wheel deforming. You get a bigger contact patch upon deformation.
We have quite a lot of wheels options
I was going to share the same haha, they are very pricy though
im a bit hesitant to buying wheels i dont know the thane quality…
i mean like some cheap clonewheels, they feel like
some drilled holes wont help that…
whereas those boosted wheels could be really plush and nice if they live up to their thane quality
edit: and yea i wouldnt mind losing a bit of range if the damping provided is nice
I predict some serious chunking , would love to be proved wrong
why you think so ? those round edges seem too invite less chunking than for example reflys
could be wrong there tho
