New 8 inch Truck Suspension Bridge

Anybody tried these? From Ali, spring damping trucks.

Kinda overkill. I think a super flexible deck works better, like trampas.

They’ve been lingering on ali for a while now. Take a look at the way they compress there and then you’ll probably see that the bottom arm likely contacts the top of the wheel under load.

Also, a bit silly :joy:

Yea it just doesn’t look right mechanically. The amount of travel it has just wouldn’t work with a regular skateboard wheel mounted on it.

I’ve seen these before and was genuinely curious about how they rode. I’d be down to get a set to try for science if it wasn’t too expensive and at least decent quality. Im just not sure which ones are good and which ones are shit.

I’d like to see some of these with motor mounts, and popped on a trampa with pneumatics. I wonder how that board would ride.

It looks extremely unstable.

The hole in the middle of this being round

means the person who designed it doesn’t know what they’re doing. You should never use this on a round tuck hanger.

Wonder if it hits the deck when you turn :face_with_monocle:

Oh I see the axle is just a low quality shoulder bolt. So you could switch that out for more length to fit press fit pulleys.

Or drill it out and put in 10mm bolts (of higher quality of course)

It looks like a regular bolt with a spacer.

Right sorry what I meant was partially threaded bolt I guess.

Shoulder bolt replacement for that bolt would be interesting to test out.

@b264 We were all going to gift this to you for Christmas… I guess… you don’t like your present.

That actually works out great for both of us. You can just send some more TB110 wheels instead, much easier

I used all 6 sets I bought already

Profile does matter, because if the truck isn’t round, all the force is not on one little tiny spot, but rather spread out over the surface. Having the same force on the tip of a grubscrew versus the same force over a surface, the surface will be orders of magnitude stronger.

Oh, I see what you mean. In that case, I would never prefer to rely only on friction to keep my motors from coming loose.

Basically “round hanger with round clamp” equals garbage design. You can put lipstick on the pig, but it’s still a pig.

But it’s a sexy pig…
