NESE, the no solder 18650 battery system

It uses NESE tabs made by the OP. I just made a different case. It’s on thingiverse. Link must be in 1st 10 posts.

You can put it on a board but probably not in an enclosure. I have been using it for almost a year now.

You can put your 8P on top of the deck. I’m guessing its offroad?

awesome to hear!
Let me know when they are ready to order
My QB26800 cells are still sitting in a box at home

Can anyone recommend a deck / enclosure combo that’s a good fit for NESE 12s4p 21700 config (p42a cells)? Planning to build around @Agniusm’s 2s4p units mounted with VHB. Also needs to fit a Unity and LTT BMS. Would love something along the lines of an Evo or Switchblade. Starting to work on a build for my son.

2s4p 21700 will be too wide for any enclosure I can think of.
Same config with 18650 will fit in evo or century 40.

That flux deck will be your best hope. Those nese holders are huge.

12s3p in a Trampa tray with a smart bms for a single motor setup. Mounted with Velcro and added a spacer to the enclosure as the modules were a few mm too tall

Xt90 is a tight fit so might switch over to bullets

Hmm, don’t see the new modules on the store yet…

Btw, it wouldn’t be too hard for you to do 3s modules, right @Agniusm ? 4 terminals for each voltage level, cells orientated like this: ^^vv^^

Then I could fit a 12s2p in the same space as an 8s3p

Also, will molicel P42A cells fit the new modules? They’re slightly bigger than the average 21700 cell, at a diameter of 21.8mm. Maybe with the wrapping off?

Me and @Agniusm talked a bit about this. You can use a 2s3p module as a 3s2p module.

The old / current modules have a mm gap between the groups though. (small plastic wall) I’m guessing if I just modified a standard 6p module I’d have to use fishpaper between the groups, right?

Yeah but you lose the 2 other terminal ports

Gotcha, so I should use 2s3p modules + fishpaper for the proper 3s2p. Thanks!

Yes, that correct, just snip off plastic separator with fush cutters and put the foamed tab where uneven surface remained after cutting off separator.

NESE V2 is up on thingiverse. For now only “Closed” modules, but “Vented” will be added soon.
Check print settings as they are different for V2 and play big role in rigidity.

Can someone confirm if there are new V2 files on thingy? I am getting blanks here. All uploads and edits are gone from TV. I was getting some errors loging in late last night and today i see no new uploads on the list of files. WTF, i heard people complaining about new TV look and functionality. F…k

No V2’s on TV, just seeing the 2019 uploads (Updated 05-21-2019) but your notes already mention the V2 version (‘Aligned V2 print settings(important)…’)

Weird. I dont see updated text in preview or “My Designs” only when editing.
Guess i will try to upload as a new design instead of adding to existing one.

I have now uploaded all sets of modules, closed and vented. If you will find any errors, please, let me know. Thanks
