Can someone help me figure out why some wires on my 6384/ 179 kv motor fried? I wonder if it might be the gear ratio I ran with a 200 mm tire. The motor cog had 18 teeth and the wheel cog has 72. I swapped out the motor with another one of the same size and changed the motor cog to a 14 tooth.
The board ran great for maybe five minutes then the motor cut out. The remote had lost connection with the esc and there were no lights on the esc or the receiver. The esc was pretty warm when I took it of the bike water bottle I housed it in.
Am I overtaxing things with those particular gear/wheel ratios?
