I’m experiencing some frustrating issues with my Bioboards Plutonium 2s after a repair last summer. Firstly, both the onboard display and app show incorrect battery status—it always reads either completely full or empty regardless of actual battery voltage. Distance tracking is also off, and the displayed speed is significantly lower than the actual speed.
Additionally, after replacing the faulty original display with a new Megan unit from Voyage Systems, I’ve lost all my original Bioboards presets and riding modes. Most concerning is the auto-reverse mode, which was set to a dangerously aggressive mode and I can’t change it back, causing a real risk of falling when braking.
I’m very cautious about editing settings in VESC myself due to past accidents resulting in serious crashes. Bioboards support has been slow to respond, so I’m turning to the community—has anyone here experienced similar issues or could guide me safely through adjusting these settings?
Email @mackann directly with the email in the profile and see if they can get you a qr code to reset the modes to the original? Saw your other post So if you get the code post it up for future folks because it looks like no one has at all.
As far as the reverse mode, it sounds like you are running current full reverse? This gets you 100% throttle forwards and backwards - does that sound like what’s going on or no?
Did you have something like current -w- smart reverse before where reverse is slow and has a slight delay before starting from a dead stop (3s) ?
Also did you install the megan? Did you go through the startup settings when you first paired it to your phone app? This is the most beginner friendly way to get all the set points input so it gives you more accurate telemetry
If there were modes on the bioboards display it is likely they were stored on the display itself so you may need to recreate them in the metr or voyager app and they will be stored on your megan
I can screencap all of the settings for you to get yours up and running but think yours is the 16s variant yes ? I’m only running 12s but simple arithmetic shouldn’t be a problem - lol
